The Miller has been in the valet parking business since 1933 when cars were much bigger and bulkier than they are now. We have driven cars from drop-off locations to remote storage facilities, and back, since the 1940’s. We have shuttled valet attendants and customers between numerous downtown locations, before the advent of shuttle vans, digital pagers, and two-way radios. We currently manage dozens of valet parking facilities at hospitals, country clubs, movie theaters, and parking decks. We work under many challenging physical conditions, including Hob-Nobble Gobble in Detroit where over 400 vehicles arrive within a 20-minute window.

Valet parking is a highly visible service that must be choreographed professionally: image and perception are extremely important. Attendants must respond immediately to vehicles when they arrive, open doors, greet customers, issue claim checks, and finally, they must safely and efficiently operate the vehicles and retrieve them in the shortest time possible. Maintaining these high standards requires constant supervision. The attendants must be neat, well groomed, and act as yours goodwill ambassadors.

Miller Valet Parking Company has a training program for all Metro Detroit Valet Services employees. It covers in detail how to handle the parking transaction from beginning to end. 

When valet customers arrive we log the license plate numbers and driver’s names into our database as soon as the vehicle arrives at the drop-off area. When that customer is ready to leave, we greet them by name (we will know it from his ticket stub) and we record his exit time in our database. Upon that customer’s second visit to valet parking we would greet him by name again.

Miller Valet Parking Company constantly explores new ways of parking and retrieving vehicles efficiently. One of the keys to any successful valet operation, is to retrieve the vehicle as quickly as possible. This in turn depends on the physical distance between the vehicle and the drop-off area, the street congestion, and proper staffing levels. Our extensive valet experience will configure the valet so as to maximize its efficiency and minimize delays.
